Auto Italia Concours Stanford Hall, Sunday 7th June
Well, it didn't rain all day....!
Even the excellent grounds at Stanford Hall looked decidedly grim at 8am on Sunday morning with the rain hammering down.... But that didn't put off the real Italian car enthusiasts who turned out for Auto Italia Concours event on Sunday 7th June. If you were one of those enthusiasts then THANKS FOR COMING! After all, a little bit of rain doesn't put off a true Auto Italia enthusiast... indeed, Peter Richardson traveled from deepest Lincolnshire in his fantastic Alfa Romeo 1750 GS by Zagato. Without doubt the most valuable car at the event, driven in monsoon conditions with no side-screens. All we can say is thanks Richard, fantastic car (pictured above, bottom left) and a forthcoming feature will be in the magazine soon. We can't say that the sun came out, but it did stop raining, it was dry and it was a great day. Here are a few of Michael Wards photos of the day. Full report in a forthcoming issue of Auto Italia
BROOKLANDS ITALIAN CAR DAY
Was this year's the best ever? Well, Chris Evans certainly thought so

BBC Radio 2 presenter and certified 'petrolhead' Chris Evans was a welcome guest to the Auto Italia Show at Brooklands - and yes he did arrive in 'that Ferrari'. Indeed the car was much admired by young and old alike - that's Auto Italia Ad Manager Frank Archer's daughter, Sophie, seen here sitting in the driver's seat... "Can we have a car like this dad?". A full report of the event will be appearing in a forthcoming issue of the magazine.
